We regret to inform you that at this time, neither Eponin nor I feel we can continue to produce HQ. We apologize for taking so long to make this decision, but it was not one we wanted to make lightly, or without a lot of thought.

What does that mean to you, the writer or the artist? First off you are free to do what you wish with your creations. If you contributed to issue #3, the drabble issue, you are free to release that work as well.


As far as the prizes for the drabble issue, we still intend to give them out. The winners are as follows:

The winners will receive their choice of either 2 months paid LJ time, a $5 LJ gift certificate, or a $5 gift certificate/or equivalent paid time at the blogging service of their choice. Please email us (scarlett_o AT livejournal DOT com or eponin10 AT livejournal DOT com) with their choice and any pertinent information if it's going toward another blogging service.


We plan to keep the downloads of the previous editions available. Contact one of us if there is a problem with any issue you attempt to download and we'll make sure you get a copy.


We also plan to offer up HQ to anyone who would like to pursue it. If you or someone you know is interested, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to discuss the transfer.

Hey everyone!

scarlett_o and I were thinking it might be neat to print up a bound edition of HQ, including all the fic and art that has been submitted from Vol. 1, issue 1, through Vol. 2, Issue 3 (the drabble edition), to be raffled off at WinCon.

However, to do this, we'd like everyone who has submitted something to HQ, authors and artists, to please comment here and let us know if you want your pieces included, or not. We're aiming to hear from everyone, so please let us know yes or no by commenting to this post, by this coming Sunday, September 30th.

Hi everybody eponin10 and I have been very lax in updating and reminding everyone about deadlines. Real life has been hectic, I've moved out of state and eponin10's schedule has been unusually hectic. So here's the plan.

1. For everyone who has signed up for the drabble issue, you can submit your drabbles through September 16. To everyone who has already submitted, thank you!!! You are free to submit more until the deadline, remember there are prizes involved! :)
   
2. Currently we have no artwork for the drabble issue. Remember, there are prizes involved there, too!
   
3. For the 4th issue, the themed issue, we are extending the deadline to January 6 and the issue will be released on January 31. We realized with the holidays we we're setting ourselves up to go crazy and decided this would be the best option.
   
4. Finally, following the 4th issue we will be taking a hiatus to re-evaluate Hell Quarterly. Both of our lives have gotten more hectic and we want to make sure that we can give HQ all the attention it deserves.
